Jerry Coyle


Jerry is entering his thirty-fifth year in the electrical industry. He graduated in 1971 from St. Joseph’s College in Rennsselaer, Indiana with a major in marketing and management and a minor in finance. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, Jerry joined IBEW Local 98.

One of Jerry’s major accomplishments is running the Bell Atlantic Tower, which was the second tallest building in 1989—after the city’s building height restriction ban was lifted. After twenty years of running work, Jerry saw a great opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream—teaching. Jerry has been a full-time teacher in the apprentice training program for the past ten years. He has held the title of for the last year and a half. Two of his primary responsibilities as Assistant Training Director are developing school curriculum and coordinating community service projects.

When not in the classroom, Jerry enjoys spending time with Reggie, his college sweetheart and wife of thirty-seven years, as well as their three daughters.
