Lawrence Cross began the IBEW Local Union 98 Apprentice Training program in 1974. Throughout his career as a Journeyman electrician, he has served as an electrical foreman and electrical inspector. Larry has been a nuclear test technician at Hope Creek and Limerick Generating Systems. He has worked on projects at the Philadelphia Newspaper, ARCO and Gulf Refineries, Liberty One, the Philadelphia Airport, Meadowlands Stadium and the American World Cup Pavilion and Casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Larry has taken courses at Burlington County Institute of Technology for Electrical Construction Technology, Burlington County College for Construction Code Inspection and Enforcement, University of Tennessee at Knoxville National Training Institute and Graduate of Technical Training Code classes.
Larry is a licensed Construction Code Official, High Hazard Structure Building and Electrical Inspector, Industrial Commercial Structures Building and Electrical Inspector and Plumbing Inspector in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Larry was an Electrical/Mechanical Supervisor of Inspections for the U.S. Federal Courthouse and a New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Investigator of the Edison gas pipeline explosion, for which he received a state award.
Larry has thirty-five years of experience in the electrical industry. He has thorough knowledge of the industry and technologies. He has experience with project management, assessing, evaluating, planning, coordinating, addressing and resolving arising issues and code compliance assurance.
Larry is affiliated with the Burlington County Construction Board of Appeals and the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). He is the Chairman of the Local 98 Code Committee and the IBEW Eastern Code Advisory Group, and is former Treasurer and Secretary of the Las Vegas N.V. National Fire Protection Association.
As an instructor for Local Union 98 IBEW Apprentice Training for the Electrical Industry for the last ten years, Larry enjoys teaching Electrical Journeymen and Apprentices.
